Raising in Ridgetown

The top store for Bottle Drive (per transactions) for the last two years, Ridgetown owes its success to the hard work and passion of Team Captain Sheila Martin. Sheila starts work on the next Bottle Drive weekend the day after one finishes. With 12 months of planning and preparation Sheila calls in her friends and family to assist in this very busy Ridgetown event, you will even find her husband John behind the grill. Friends bring trailers, BBQ’s and are on site volunteering their services.

Sheila has been with The Beer Store for 28 years now and 7 of them at the Ridgetown location. One of the highlights is watching a local artist, Robbin Wenzoski, carve a wooden sculpture in the parking lot. The BBQ is a popular spot with its Southern theme that includes delicious pulled pork and smoked beef brisket.

If all this was not enough several members of the staff make Christmas wreaths out of bottle caps. These are sold during the festive season with all proceeds going towards the Bottle Drive. Store Manager Jerry Graziano fully supports Sheila’s efforts and all the hard work she puts into organizing the Bottle Drive. Sheila adds that Ridgetown is a very giving and wonderful community. Great job Sheila, long may it continue.
